We are a group of year eleven students who have formed an enterprise group called “Purple Banana”.
We have received funding from the school and so far have done a Christmas fair, from which we were able to fund further enterprise projects.
This has then allowed us to do our next project of selling homemade toiletries to the pupils of our school for Mother’s Day.
We have now got together with the music department, for whom we are going to design and create a CD cover. The CD cover will then be used for the music the year 7 choir have composed and sung. Through our help with this enterprise project they will then be able to go on and sell their CD and enter further competitions. We managed to create and design the CD and so far they have made around £60.
Also, in July, we went to our local summer faye, which proved to be a great success and we all had a fantastic day, we managed to raise around £200, which is absolutely fabulous and we hope to participate in next years fayres.
Now that christmas is nearing, we are starting to adapt our products to a christmas theme and are planning on going to several christamas fayres at local primary schools - this enables us to advertise our enterprise group even further and we hope this will be a great success and that the children will enjoy our stall.
In Purple Banana we have recently created a lucky dip, which has been very popular with our customers so far and it brings them great enjoyment.
